Frequently asked questions

What is a Technical Data Sheet (TDS)?

A Technical Data Sheet gives the chemical specification, sizing, applications, packing and storage of each product grade. Use it to choose the right grade before you request an offer.

What is a Safety Data Sheet (SDS or MSDS)?

A Safety Data Sheet sets out the hazards of a product and how to handle, store, transport and dispose of it safely, with first-aid and fire-fighting measures. SDS and MSDS mean the same document; SDS is the current GHS term.

Are the documents free to download?

Yes. All Technical Data Sheets and Safety Data Sheets on this page are free PDF downloads. No registration is required.

Which regulations are the Safety Data Sheets prepared with reference to?

Atabaş Global Safety Data Sheets follow the 16-section format of the UN Globally Harmonized System (GHS) and are prepared with reference to Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 Annex II and Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 (CLP); the exact references are stated on each document. Check the requirements of your own country before use.

Which standards are the specifications based on?

Each Technical Data Sheet names the standards it is prepared with reference to: for example ASTM D946, AASHTO M20, EN 12591 and EN 14023 for bitumen, ISO 5445 to ISO 5454 and the ASTM A99 to A483 series for ferroalloys, ASTM methods for aromatic solvents and API Spec 13A / ISO 13500 for barite.

Does a TDS replace the Certificate of Analysis for a shipment?

No. The TDS gives specification limits for each grade. The guaranteed values, quantity, sizing and packing of every shipment are stated in the Sales Contract and in the Certificate of Quality issued at loading.

How can I check that a document is genuine?

Every document carries an Atabaş Global reference number, for example ATB-TDS-FEALLOY-SIMN-2026-001, and is published on atabas.com.tr. If you receive a copy from a third party, compare it with the version on this page or write to [email protected].

Does Atabaş Global supply sanctioned countries or companies?

No. Atabaş Global complies with the OFAC, EU, UK and UN sanctions regimes and does not deal with sanctioned countries, companies, individuals or vessels.
